RecycleNet
Acquires Global Recycling Network
April
12, 2002
Paul
Roszel, Chairman & CEO of RecycleNet Corporation (OTC GARM)
is pleased to announce the acquisition of Global Recycling
Network (www.grn.com).
The acquisition of Global Recycling Network (GRN) reinforces
the efforts of two of the oldest and well-established recycling
portals on the Internet.
John
A. Robb has been appointed President of the Global Recycling
Network (GRN) business unit within RecycleNet. Robb said
"This is an excellent opportunity for us to increase our
predominance in the recycling sector as we can now offer,
through the GRN website, more targeted resources and services
for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) managers." In addition to
providing valuable resources for MSW managers the GRN website
will also become an information hub for waste exchanges.
The
acquisition of GRN should assist in achieving the milestone
of 1 million unique web site visitors per month. Prior to
the acquisition of GRN, combined traffic to Rhodium WebWeaver
sites had reached over 800,000 unique visitors/month viewing
over 3 million web pages, which converts to more than 14
million HITS per month.
RecycleNet
markets and distributes the Rhodium WebWeaver turnkey e-commerce
platform, a dynamic application that specializes in the
delivery of e-commerce portals. The Rhodium WebWeaver Turnkey
E-commerce System allows anyone anywhere to launch a fully
functional online exchange, typically within 5 business
days. The Rhodium WebWeaver provides unprecedented speed
to market in the implementation of business to business
(b2b) and business to consumer (b2c) marketplaces.
RecycleNet's
anchor website Recycler's World (www.recycle.net)
will celebrate 7 years on-line as of May 1, 2002. In the
seven years that Recycler's World has been online visitors
have viewed over 47 million web pages.
The
acquisition of GRN reinforces RecycleNet Corporation's strategic
position to pursue its aggressive plans of merger, acquisition,
strategic alliance, joint ventures and rapid internal organic
growth.
