Recycling Industry Shows Signs of Job Growth
RecycleNet is the Source for Industry Trends
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, July 27, 2004 — A new survey shows a strong trend towards the stable growth of the recycling industry in the near future. In a poll taken of North American recyclers, 39% of the respondents confirmed that they would be increasing the number of employees in their operations within the next six months.
RecycleNet Corporation conducted the industry wide online poll in the first week of July 2004. The results of this survey are being tabulated and will be presented in a final report geared to help scrap processors, dealers, and brokers make informed business decisions.
RecycleStats, which will debut in coming months, is a publication that RecycleNet is preparing based on the data it has collected in online polls, in its buy sell trade marketplace, and from its growing user base. More information on this unique source of industry information will be available on www.recyclestats.com.
"Over the last nine years RecycleNet has become an expert resource for information about the recycling industry,” says Paul Roszel Chairman and CEO of RecycleNet Corporation, "The information we have been able to gather is a truly unique and valuable resource to recycling industry decision makers."
Roszel said RecycleStats will include information on subjects such as equipment purchasing trends, corporate infrastructure improvements, regional disposal costs, the blend of domestic versus overseas trade in the recycling industry and the effects of interest rates, currency exchange and threats of terrorism/war on the industry.

RecycleNet does not buy or sell recyclable materials; instead, the Company earns fees through its portal business segment for the use of its trading network and other services. Although the company maintains a positive balance sheet and continues to grow organically, the expansion of the company’s business plan and development of its Sec-Mat Division requires a capital injection.
